One small,
thoughtful gesture can make someone else's day...
1. Say "Good morning" to a
person standing next to you in the elevator.
2. Pay the toll for the
driver behind you.
3. Take a minute to direct someone who is lost, even
though you're rushing.
4. Write a letter to a child who could use some
extra attention. Kids love getting mail.
5. Offer to pick up groceries
for an elderly neighbor, especially in extreme weather.
6. Give a
homeless person a care bag.
7. Say "I love you" to someone you
love.
8. Put a coin in an expired meter.
9. Help a mother carry
her baby stroller up the subway stairs, or hold a door open for her.
10. Each time you get a new item of clothing, give away something
old.
11. Take someone's shift as the car-pool parent.
12. Bring
your assistant coffee.
13. Out of the blue, send flowers to a
friend.
14. Say "please" and "thank you"—and really mean it.
15.
When you're on a crowded train or bus, offer your seat to an elderly, disabled
or pregnant person.
16. Don't interrupt when someone is explaining there self.
17. Let a fellow
driver merge into your lane.
18. Offer to baby-sit for a single
mom.
19. Put your shopping cart back in its place.
20. Call or write to a teacher who changed your life.
21. Bring a box of doughnuts
to share at the office.
22. Forgive someone a debt–and never bring it up
again.
23. Listen with all your senses.
24. Write a note to the
boss of someone who helps you, and explain how great a job that person is
doing.
25. Simply say "I'm sorry" when you're wrong.
26. Throw
away your trash—and someone else's—after a movie, picnic or visit to a
park.
27. Encourage someone who seems despondent.
28. Volunteer
to take care of a friend's dog while he is vacationing.
29. Help a
friend pack for a move.
30. Ask someone "How are you really doing?"—and
then really listen to her response.
31. Offer change when the person in
front of you at the register comes up short.
32. Before a friend moves
away, give her your favorite recipe or quote and a photo of the two of you
together.
33. Leave a generous tip for a pleasant waiter.
34. At
work, offer to transfer a caller who needs help from another
department.
35. Pass along a great book you've just finished
reading.

This
was my first Pay it Forward for the day and it was perfect. I went to Stator
bros bakery and had them write Pay It Forward on a blue and green cake(Travis
favorite colors) then I went and picked out 1 dozen red roses. Then I scoped out
the check out lines hoping to get in front of a lady. But only men got behind me,
then I got out of line, and was walking to another check out line, saw a lady
...wearing blue and I rushed to get there first to get
ahead of her, didn't make it, so I said to myself oh well I will buy this and
then rush the gifts out to that lady, well guess what, I didn't have to, this
sweet lady saw I only had 2 things in my hand and she said Honey you go in front
on me. She was so sweet, she was paying it forward without knowing I was gonna
Pay it forward to her, so I went in front of her, paid for the cake and Roses,
pulled out my Travis Pay
It Forward Cards and turned around and gave it to
her. It made her day, but it made my day more then I can explain. The cashier
and bagger had such smiles on their faces to and me I turned around walked out
the store crying. I love you Travis, thank you for loving others and sharing
that with me.

Scott Allen loves to collect shells at Florida beaches and use his treasures to
make jewelry. He then gives his creations away for
free to tourists, as well as locals. Allen said his love of beaches and shell
collecting began when he was young and would collect shells with his
grandmother. "I remember as a young kid my grandmother and I would
collect shells," Allen said. "I wanted to do something that would help out in a
small way and my small way is making jewelry out of shell pieces and giving them
to people as a random act of kindness."
Allen makes his jewelry wherever
he travels.
Once the jewelry is made, he looks for random people and
offers them his trinkets, as he did on a recent day in Pass-A-Grille. Allen says
he has given out more than 200 pieces of jewelry and has no plans to stop
anytime soon.
"It does make me feel good to do something good for others
and often they get the feeling that they can do something nice for others too,"
Allen said. "The 'pay it forward' or so they call it.
"I think it works
to make humanity a better place."

Would like to share my simple pay
it forward story with you all. Yesterday, as in Wal-Mart, getting ready to check
out, there were a set of Mormon Missionaries two isles over also getting ready
to check out. We have been busy getting settled into our winter home the last
couple of days, so had not spent the time deciding what I wanted to do.
Well, seeing these missionaries, brought my mind right to Travis, He was a
Mormon and had also been a missionary. I walked over to the missionaries, and
told them of Travis, and about his legacy in life to better the world, by his
kind deeds, and giving to others. I gave them each $5.00, and asked them to pass
on Travis's Legacy, by paying it forward.
Now I know missionaries pay it
forward for two years by putting on hold their own life, to share the gospel of
Jesus Christ. But I was drawn to them to get going on paying it forward. It felt
really good inside doing this one little thing. Can only imagine how full
Travis's heart must have been overflowing with love and goodness by all the good
deeds and love her shared in his short life.
Thank you Tanisha Sorenson
and your family, for spreading his Legacy to the world. Love you all!

Tanisha Sorenson Yay got my birthday project accomplished. We honored my brother Travis and my friend Bingham by giving Christmas gifts to some woman and children who don't have much, but I for one know someday that can change and they can succeed. Thanks to those who donated and helped make this happen. And I know Travis and Bingham are happy we are continuing their Legacy of love and service . God be with you till we meet again.
